BDO Canada’s Vancouver office is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our China Tax Practice, focusing on Canadian and International tax planning, compliance, and CRA defense. You will prepare or review personal, corporate, and trust tax returns, and support tax issue research.

To succeed, you are bilingual in Mandarin/English, pursuing a CPA designation, and bring about two years of public accounting experience with familiarity of tax legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tax planning strategies for clients.

  • Deal with tax authorities on audits and appeals.
  • Prepare tax accruals in line with accounting standards.

Your Opportunity

BDO Canada’s China Tax Practice is a team of professionals specialized in Canadian and International tax planning, tax compliance, and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) audit defense services.

Our Vancouver office is looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our growing China Tax Practice and own the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies for clients to capitalize on business opportunities
  • Identify and document tax filing positions, including risk analysis
  • Prepare or review personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns, along with other tax information forms
  • Research tax issues and prepare memoranda or client letters and reports
  • Deal with tax authorities on tax audits and appeals
  • Prepare tax accruals working in accordance with applicable accounting standards

Your Experience And Education
  • You are bilingual in Mandarin/English
  • You are pursuing your CPA designation
  • You have 2 years of experience in public accounting
  • You have familiarity with relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal, and trust tax compliance. Tax planning experience is an asset
  • You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills

The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000 annually
