Job summary

Cooke Aquaculture Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our accounting team.

This role will be based in our Saint John, NB or Blacks Harbour, NB office, reporting to the Divisional Controller and handling bank reconciliations, AP posting, monthly working papers and month-end journal entries. You will support general accounting and special projects, bringing 2+ years of full-cycle accounting and a Business/Finance education.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in full cycle accounting.
• 2 years or more post-secondary education in Business/Finance.
• Finely tuned organizational and detail management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting transactions including bank reconciliations and accounts payable postings.
• Maintain monthly working papers and month-end journal entries.
• Provide support for all aspects of general accounting and assist with special projects as requested.

The Role

As a result of our robust growth, we are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our team of accounting professionals. This role will be based in our Saint John, NB or Blacks Harbour, NB office. Reporting to the Divisional Controller, you will bring your experience in the preparation of accounting transactions including bank reconciliations and accounts payable posting, monthly working papers and month-end journal entries. You will provide support for all aspects of general accounting following the best principles and practices. Additionally, you will demonstrate the initiative required to work on special projects as requested by the Management.
