Job description

• Prepare year-end working paper files for compilation (Notice to Reader) engagements
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with ASPE
• Perform account reconciliations and general ledger analysis
• Prepare corporate tax returns (T2) including related schedules and working papers
• Prepare personal tax returns (T1) for clients including self-employed, investment, and rental income scenarios, as well as foreign assets and income reporting.
• Assist with trust (T3), GST/HST, and other compliance filings
• Communicate professionally with clients to request information, clarify data, and respond to inquiries
• Train and support junior staff on file preparation and client service protocols

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of working experience in an accounting firm
• Knowledge of CICA Handbook, ASPE, Canadian Income Tax Act and Excise Tax Act required
• Knowledge of Caseware/Caseview and Intuit Profile required, computer proficient in QuickBooks, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Office
• Experience in preparation of personal, trust, corporate, and non-resident tax returns
• Proficient in preparation of Notice to Reader engagements in a variety of industries
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to organize, prepare and clearly present information to our clients and team
• Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese would be an asset

$60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
