Job summary

Studio Crevier in Montreal is seeking an experienced interior design project coordinator to own projects from scope through design development and construction. You will act as a key contact, lead meetings, and coordinate between clients, contractors, trades, and our design team.

You’ll develop detailed construction documents, review shop drawings, and conduct regular site visits to ensure design intent is met.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of interior design experience.
• Degree or diploma in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
• Strong AutoCAD and/or Revit skills.
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and millwork.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings and coordinating with contractors.
• Highly organized, proactive and ownership-minded.
• Fluent in English with strong working French.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects, act as a key point of contact and help drive projects forward from initial scope through design development and construction.

Responsibilities

Project Coordination

• Act as a key point of contact for assigned projects
• Schedule and lead project meetings including scope, budget, design presentations and technical coordination
• Coordinate communication between clients, contractors, trades, vendors and our internal design team
• Track project decisions, outstanding items, timelines and next steps

Design & Technical

• Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, RCPs, millwork drawings and construction documentation
• Translate approved design concepts into accurate technical drawing packages
• Review shop drawings for dimensions, finishes and overall design intent
• Attend site meetings and conduct regular site visits
• Coordinate with contractors and trades to ensure they have the information required for execution
• Assist with RFQs, including preparing information for vendors and trades, collecting quotes and following up on outstanding pricing

Who We're Looking For

• 3 to 5 years of professional interior design experience
• Degree or diploma in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• Strong AutoCAD and/or Revit skills
• Strong understanding of construction documentation, residential detailing and millwork
• Experience reviewing shop drawings and coordinating with contractors and trades
• Highly organized, proactive and comfortable taking ownership
• Fluent in English with strong working French
• Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
