Sobeys is seeking a Meat Clerk to perform the full range of duties in a professional and timely fashion within the meat department. You will deliver exceptional customer service, promote featured products, and maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

The role requires independence in a fast-paced environment and strong communication skills. Physical tasks, including lifting up to 20 lbs and standing for long periods, are part of the job.

• Above average communication skills (oral and written).
• May be required to lift to 20lbs, stand long periods, and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, SOPs, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives.
• Order, receive, prep, and merchandise meat products per inventory control procedures.
• Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs.
• Increase store sales by actively promoting featured products.
• Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, keeping areas clean and presentable.
• Prep customer meat orders as required.
• Process department shrink as required.
• Participate in the training of junior staff.
• Other duties as required.

The Meat Clerk is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. The Clerk will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs, and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

• Prep Customer Meat orders, as required
