Interim Controller

Our client is on the search for an Interim Controller to join their team! The client is a Greater Edmonton Area based organization with strategic plans to expand their market geographically. Reporting to the VP Finance and CEO, the Interim Controller will handle the full cycle accounting of the company. This role has the potential to become permanent. Your success will be defined by your ability to:

1. Manage the full cycle accounting process and prepare the financial statements and board package
2. Provide supervision and guidance to the AP and AR staff members. Clients are larger industrial organizations
3. Process improvement and building – process automation and ensuring adequate controls
4. Payroll processing, less than 50 employees

Your strengths include:

1. CPA designation is an asset
2. Self-starting hands-on personality
3. Strong technical accounting and Excel skills
4. Ability to adapt to changes and suggest/execute process improvements
5. Job costing/manufacturing experience is an asset
6. Ability to start quickly
