Job summary

SYSTRA Canada in Toronto is seeking a Senior Interface Manager to oversee and coordinate engineering deliverables across civil, systems, utilities and third parties for major rail and transit projects. • Over 10 years of experience working on Multi-Discipline Railway projects.
• Professional Engineering Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the design interface management strategy and interface register.
• Coordinate identification, definition and ownership of interfaces across civil, systems, utilities and third parties.
• Facilitate interface workshops and technical working groups.
• Track interface issues and actions to closure.
• Provide regular reporting on critical interfaces and associated risks to Systems Engineering Manager and project leadership.
• Lead management of technical interfaces between the project and the Owner, municipalities, agencies and other third parties.
• Coordinate identification and documentation of interface points and requirements.
• Facilitate technical workshops and reviews with external stakeholders.
• Track commitments, actions and risks related to third-party interfaces.
• Provide regular updates to Design Interface Lead and leadership.

Context

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this person will oversee and be responsible for engineering deliverables, ensuring the best outcomes for all the required Engineering outputs. This role requires extensive multidisciplinary expertise in the rail industry, encompassing all technical aspects from project initiation through design and integration.

Profile/Skills

Required Technical Competencies

• University degree in Engineering or related discipline;
• 8+ years’ experience managing technical interfaces with Owners, municipalities, agencies and other third parties on major rail / transit or infrastructure projects;
• strong understanding of stakeholder requirements and approval processes;
• excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
• Over 10 years of experience working on Multi-Discipline Railway projects.
• Professional Engineering Certificate.
