Job description

PenLink is a technology company bringing clarity to complex data for people who need it now. We partner with law enforcement agencies across the United States, offering a software solution to manage data and aid investigators solving crimes. It sounds like a lot of data and analytics, but really, it’s about improving the world and keeping safe the places we call home.

We focus on creating products that positively impact our communities and being \"in the mission\" and less about the laidback culture and amazing benefits – even though we offer those too. With our get it done attitude and focused mission we are growing at an unprecedented rate and are therefore seeking an Intelligence Analyst on our North America sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle, demonstrating platform value proposition as well as helping ensure customer enablement and satisfaction.

This is a Canada-based position, with preferred applicants in the Toronto area.

Requirements:
Your Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present platform demonstrations to potential customers and partners.
  • Conduct open-source investigations to develop use cases to be showcased
  • Produce detailed intelligence (OSNIT) reports – both independently and at the request of sales, customers, etc.
  • Monitor and report on open-source (ie social media) changes including but not limited to new platforms and restrictions within existing ones
  • Work closely with customers to understand their operational and technical requirements in coordination with our sales team
  • Assist with on-boarding customers by proactively providing support and guidance on best practices, and provide relevant use cases
  • Train and educate customers on the product
  • Master the product offering and suggest enhancements based on end-user needs
  • Participate in professional events such as on-site demos and exhibitions
  • Other duties as assigned
Your Competencies & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with major in Criminal Justice or a related field
  • Mandatory – proven track record working as an OSNIT Analyst for 5 years in law enforcement or intelligence organizations
  • Proven experience in conducting open-source investigations and other OSNIT analysis tools
  • Results-driven, self-starter, attention to detail and organized
  • Proven technology skills and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel
  • Prior experience with data visualization products such as Analyst Notebook
  • Work experience as Intel/Criminal Analyst within Local, State or Federal law enforcement agencies
  • Preferred certifications: applicable Criminal or Intelligence Analyst certification (not required, I would remove this or mark it as ‘preferred’)
  • Crypto-currency investigative experience (does not need to be an expert, but should have some basic knowledge/understanding of crypto and dark web investigations)
