Job summary

Stripe’s Professional Services team seeks an engineering-focused professional to lead strategic conversations and drive integrations for enterprise customers in Canada. You will coordinate across Sales, Solution Architecture and Implementation to design end-to-end solutions, explain Stripe technical concepts, and act as a primary technical contact for major users and partners.

You’ll stay ahead of Stripe technologies, share best practices, and contribute to whitepapers and events while helping

About The Team

Stripe’s Professional Services team works with our most strategic users. You will work on the highest visibility projects to provide technical expertise to our customers to help accelerate their knowledge, solution design and integrations with Stripe. This role is responsible for leading strategic conversations and developing plans that will transform the payments and financial infrastructure for leading enterprises.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architecture and Implementation teams to drive client engagement, customer wins, and revenue on behalf of the Professional Services team
• Plan and execute integration engineering end-to-end, from high-level architecture down to code
• Think on your feet and comfortable talking about technical concepts, and explaining how Stripe works, both from a product feature and API architecture perspective
• Educate our users and the developer community about Stripe's value proposition, best practices and new technical developments
• Be the primary, ongoing technical point of contact for our largest users' and partners' technical teams
• Keep abreast of new Stripe technologies and software products and showcases technical thought leadership in whitepapers, conferences and other industry events
• Providing recommendations, feedback and best practices to the product and engineering teams

Who you are

Minimum Requirements

• 4 years + experience in a Software Engineering / Integration Engineering role
• Comfortable with various code-level debugging (Stripe code and user code)
• Be comfortable talking about technical concepts, and explaining how Stripe works, both from a product features and API architecture perspective.
• A user first approach & empathy with our users
• Confident and comfortable with customers
• Strong generalist technical experience

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is CA$135,100 - CA$202,700. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process. Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
