Job summary

SaskEnergy is hiring an Integrated IT Services Administrator to design and implement continuous deployment strategies and ensure high availability for the corporate IT environment. The role covers coordinating upgrades, providing advanced support, and managing assets across hardware, OS, software, and networking.

The ideal candidate has a degree in CS/IT or equivalent and at least five years in IT operations, with a valid Class 5 license and willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Five years’ experience working within an IT Operations team, specializing in end user technology, network or server management.
• Pre-Qualifying Assessment.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize strategies for continuous deployment with high system availability.
• Provide advanced support for the IT infrastructure to meet functionality requirements.
• Plan and coordinate hardware, OS, software, network, and tooling upgrades.
• Lead security updates, perform root cause analysis, and monitor system performance.
• Configure and maintain end-user devices, servers, and networks; document standards.

Integrated IT Services Administrator

Union - There are multiple permanent full time positions available.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and ImplementationAnalyze, design, and implement strategies for continuous deployment while ensuring high availability on systems.
• Design, coordinate implementations, and provide advanced support for technical environment associated with the corporate IT infrastructure to meet functionality requirements.
• Plan, design, automate, implement and/or provide technical support for tools, standards, hardware, network, operating systems, applications, products, and services.
• Plan and coordinate for required upgrades to hardware, operating system, and layered software products.
• System Analysis and EnhancementsLead the ongoing cycle of identification, testing, pilot and deployment of security and quality updates. Participate in the research, design and implementation of desktop hardware, software and end-user peripheral technologies. Work with internal and external stakeholders, including software vendors, to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis. Monitor key system performance metrics and trends, taking corrective action as necessary to ensure performance and reliable operation.
• AdministrationDevelop and monitor the solutions and processes for supporting and monitoring hardware assets, including device lifecycle, acquisition, distribution and disposal of corporate assets. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end user technology, computer systems, servers, and networks. Lead and document the continuous development of standards and operating procedures, and review, audit, and follow-up to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required.
• This job participates in a rotational standby schedule.

Hourly Rate Range $48.47 ($7,372.29) - $53.76 ($8,176.90)
