Job summary

Cameco in Saskatchewan seeks a mine engineering professional to prepare drawings, change notices, and production designs, while conducting field work related to surveying, ventilation, and ground support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mining or related engineering.
  • 2–6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Eligible for registration with APEGS or working toward professional registration.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

In this role, you will:

Required:

  • bachelors degree in mine (or related) engineering;
  • two to six years of relevant work experience required;
  • eligible for registration with the association of professional engineers and geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS);
  • working towards registration as a Professional Engineer;
  • strong communication, planning and organizational skills;
  • flexibility, teamwork and good time management; and
  • work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Recommended:

  • previous experience in an underground mining environment in a technical or operational role; and
  • familiarity with mining products or mining software (Deswik preferred).

Conditions of Employment:

  • pre-employment substance test.
