Qualifications include 2–4 years in insurance defense with LAT experience; strong evidentiary and discovery skills; experience in Small Claims Court is an asset; salary aligns with Ontario pay transparency norms.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in insurance defense.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload.
• Experience conducting discoveries, mediations, pre-trials, and motions.
• Experience with LAT case conferences and/or hearings.
• Small Claims Court experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of insurance defense files
• Conduct examinations for discovery, mediations, pre-trial conferences, and motions
• Represent clients in various stages of litigation
• Collaborate with senior counsel and colleagues on complex matters
• Handle matters before the Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT), including case conferences and hearings
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients and insurers
