Job summary

A well-established Insurance Defence law firm in downtown Toronto is seeking an Insurance Defence Law Clerk. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of litigation experience, specifically in Tort and AB claims. Responsibilities include maintaining document briefs, preparing file summaries, drafting pleadings, and ensuring compliance with mediation and discovery processes. This role offers a permanent hybrid work arrangement, with competitive compensation. Only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of insurance defence litigation experience required.
• Experience working with Tort and AB claims is necessary.
• Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain document briefs and files.
• Prepare and complete file summaries.
• Review and prepare files for mediations and discoveries.
• Draft motion materials and pleadings.
• Prepare for trials and arbitrations.
• Follow up on undertakings.
