Job summary

Ostic Group in Guelph is seeking a full-time Personal Lines Broker to join our local team. You will service and maintain an assigned Personal Lines book, manage quotes, new business, renewals, endorsements, remarkets, policy changes, and cancellations, while acting as a trusted advisor to ensure clients have the right protection.

You will document actions in the system for accurate records, stay current on products and underwriting guidelines, handle claims with empathy, comply with RIBO

Qualifications

• RIBO license required.
• Minimum 1 year of Personal Lines Broker experience.
• Proven experience servicing and managing an assigned book of business.
• Strong knowledge of Personal Lines insurance products, markets, and underwriting practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a focus on putting the client first.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Working knowledge of Applied EPIC is an asset.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a full-time Personal Lines Broker to join our Guelph team. This role would be ideal for a broker who looks to build long-lasting relationships with their clients, enjoys being part of a collaborative team, and has a strong customer service background.

The Role

• Service and maintain an assigned Personal Lines book of business
• Manage the full client lifecycle, including quotes, new business, renewals, endorsements, remarkets, policy changes, and cancellations.
• Conduct detailed reviews of risk and underwriting information to ensure accuracy and optimal insurance solutions for your clients; they are looking to you to be their trusted advisor to make sure they have the right protection for their unique needs.
• Document all required action in the system to ensure complete and accurate records, mitigation E&O exposures for the brokerage.
• Ensure compliance with carrier binding authorities and RIBO regulations.
• Build trusted client relationships by providing knowledgeable, personalized advice and ensuring clients have the right coverage to protect what matters most.
• Follow up diligently on outstanding client and account activities to ensure they are resolved promptly.
• Stay current on insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and assigned markets while remaining open to new market opportunities.
• Take new claim reports, help clients navigate through this process with empathy, and submit them to the insurance carrier
• Diligent follow up on clients’ accounts to ensure outstanding activities are resolved.
• Collaborate with the broader team to provide a consistent and high-quality client experience.
