What is the opportunity?

We are seeking self-motivated, highly driven, and entrepreneurial individuals to join our Field Sales team at RBC Insurance. As an accredited Life & Wealth Advisor (HLLQP/LLQP), you will provide integrated life insurance planning and advice to your existing network of referrals and new RBC client acquisitions. Your understanding of RBC Insurance's full suite of Life, Living Benefits, Wealth, and Travel products enables you to offer valuable solutions tailored to your clients' needs. You will prospect and network actively, supported by internal partners who refer clients to you and assist in deepening client relationships through effective opportunity spotting and honest sales practices. What will you do?

  • Connect with clients through discovery to understand their life events and offer comprehensive insurance and financial advice aligned with their current and evolving needs.
  • Promote a client-first approach by meeting clients at their convenience (home, office, RBC Insurance store).
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships using Salesforce and other compliant customer tools.
  • Contribute to and be accountable for your team’s sales success by achieving individual sales goals.
  • Expand your external network by leveraging market opportunities and referrals from approved centers of influence.
  • Regularly review your business results and adjust activities to meet targets.
  • Support RBC’s vision to be among the world’s most trusted and successful financial institutions.

What do you need to succeed?

  • A goal-oriented attitude with strong ambition to succeed.

  • Business development and prospecting skills.
  • A keen interest in learning and understanding client needs.
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills and motivational abilities.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends.

Must have

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent.
  • Life/A&S License (HLLQP/LLQP).
  • At least 2 years of professional sales experience, preferably in insurance.
  • An existing network of referrals and approved centers of influence.
  • Competency with CRM systems; experience with Salesforce is an asset.
  • A valid driver’s license, proper automobile insurance, and access to a vehicle.

Nice to have

  • Fluency in another language besides English.
  • Industry designations such as CFP, CLU, or CHS are preferred.
