What We’re Looking For

Our Commercial Insurance Division is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Advisor! Join us and make a positive impact on the team with your fresh ideas and unique perspective in this Full Time, Permanent role.

Our Burnaby location is our head office and is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer experience to internal and external customers
  • Demonstrate good technical insurance knowledge of coverages
  • Follow Hub Service Guidelines
  • Support Account Executive/Account Manager and Marketer with servicing commercial accounts
  • Act as primary Customer Service Contact in the absence of Account Executive/Account Manager
  • Respond to customer requests, submit information to insurers, and bind coverage when appropriate
  • Attend Critical Path meetings and follow up on action items
  • Prepare proposals, rate sheets, correspondence, certificates, and invoices
  • Prepare cover notes on accounts marketed by production team
  • Process all documentation according to workflows, including Certificates of Insurance, Cover notes, Summaries, Proposals, New Business, Renewals, Endorsements, Premium Finance contracts, and Invoicing
  • Attach all documentation into EPIC and related systems
  • Assist with managing Account Receivables and Account Reconciliation
  • Review and prioritize daily tasks including emails and activities
  • Maintain accuracy of electronic and physical files
  • Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers
  • Continue professional development
  • Protect HUB from E&O
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Level 2 General Insurance License
  • 2-3 years of experience in the Commercial Division
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience with EPIC, Policy Works, CSR24, and Certificate Exchange is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Typing speed of at least 55 wpm
  • Industry designations such as CIP, CAIB, CRM, or BCIT diploma are assets
  • Accounting experience is an asset

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000, influenced by skills, experience, location, and specific business line. HUB offers comprehensive benefits including health, disability, RRSP matching, paid time off, bonuses, and commissions where applicable.
