Job summary

Westland Insurance Group in Cochrane, ON/Timmins, ON is seeking an Insurance Advisor to guide clients through personal and commercial coverage in a hybrid office setup.

You'll build lasting client relationships, assess needs, and manage renewals and more complex cases, while contributing to branch success. The role offers learning support, training opportunities, and a collaborative, inclusive culture at Westland.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of insurance industry experience.
• RIBO/OTL license required, CAIB/CIP progress encouraged.
• Strong knowledge of personal and commercial lines.
• Proven ability to build lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client service across phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Assess client needs and provide tailored coverage recommendations.
• Manage new business, renewals, underwriting, and policy changes.
• Build lasting client relationships and support renewals, claims, and follow-up.

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this rol e is $21.28 to $25.67 based on a 35 -hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity. As an Insurance Advisor , you promote and educate clients on a wide range of insurance products, take ownership of client relationships, and help us grow our presence and profile in the local community. You'll also serve as a senior resource within the branch, managing more complex insurance cases while supporting the development of team members Interested in learning more?

Why we’ll love You:

• Minimum 2+ years of insurance industry experience, supported by a RIBO/OTL license and progress toward your CAIB and/or CIP designation (financial support provided!)
• Strong technical knowledge and confidence handling more complex client needs, with the ability to provide tailored coverage recommendations

• Manage new business, renewals, underwriting, and policy changes while handling more complex insurance cases with accuracy and attention to detail
• Build lasting client relationships by providing proactive support throughout the customer journey, including renewals, claims assistance , and follow-up communication
• Contribute to business growth by identifying sales opportunities in addition to cross-selling and up-selling products
• Support branch success by collaborating with team members, mentoring peers, and assisting with training, reporting, and day-to-day operations as needed
