Job summary

BRAYA Renewable Fuels in Come By Chance, NL, is seeking motivated Insulators for a temporary role to support our refinery operations. You will install and remove insulation per industry standards, read blueprints, and ensure safe, compliant work practices in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.

The position emphasizes safety, proper handling of tools, and adherence to permits, with opportunities to grow skills in insulation technologies while contributing to a world-class production facility.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson or Red Seal certification is required
• NIA ATSM insulation standards knowledge
• Familiar with industry codes and standards
• WHMIS, Confined Space, Fall Arrest, Powerline Hazard certificates required

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine materials and tasks
• Understand construction terminology and work permits
• Perform insulation installation and removal per codes and Owner/User requirements
• Maintain clean, organized work site and tools
• Participate in safety assessments and JSA completion
• Engage in health, safety, quality and environmental processes
• Support refinery operations with reliable insulation work

Insulator - Temporary

Are you ready to put your industrial skills to work in a role that keeps operations running safely and efficiently? We are looking for motivated Insulators to join our team and support our refinery operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and removal of insulation in accordance with industry standards, applicable codes, and Owner/User requirements. Duties & Responsibilities

• Interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the types of materials and equipment to use and plan the required tasks
• Knowledge of construction terminology
• Read and understand the work permits
• Basic rigging knowledge
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment and maintains housekeeping of job site.
• Returns all tools and materials used by the crew to the proper place at the end of shift.
• Must fully participate in the safety assessment of the job and completion of JSA’s.
• Fully participate in health, safety, quality and environmental processes.

Required qualifications Trades:

• Candidate must have a Journeyperson or, Red Seal certification.
• National Insulation Association (NIA) - ATSM Insulation Standards
• Familiar with applicable INDUSTRY codes and standards
• Valid Confined Space, Fall Arrest, Powerline Hazard and WHMIS certificates
• Ability to adhere to company safety policies and procedures
• Working at heights and confined spaces
• Able to wear a respirator for duties as required
• Able to pass pre-employment requirements
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills

Physical Demands:

• Regular lifting/moving up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting/moving >50 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, stretching, twisting, standing, walking, and climbing.
• Use of hand tools requiring precision and balance; work on ladders/scaffolding.
• Exposure to loud noises and potential environmental hazards.
