Job summary

Great Northern Insulation is seeking an on-site insulation installer for a construction/maintenance role in Gravenhurst area. This position involves selecting insulation types, measuring and cutting materials, and applying insulation through spraying, blowing, and other methods.

You will fit around obstructions, install vapour barriers, and handle scaffolding as needed. Required is a secondary school certificate and 1–2 years in insulation installation or related field; valid driver’s licence

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in insulation installation or related construction work.

Responsibilities

• Select type of insulation required.
• Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
• Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods.
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
• Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials.
• Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials.
• Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers.
• Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment.
