Job summary

Westcal Insulation Ltd. in Calgary seeks a skilled Commercial and Industrial Insulator to lead installation teams on major projects. You will read blueprints, measure and cut insulation, apply vapor barriers, and ensure safety standards on site.

The role requires 1–5 years of insulation experience, willingness to travel to varied locations, and reliable transportation. Full-time, permanent, dayshift, 8 hours per day, on-site locations around Calgary. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• WHMIS 2015 certification required.
• CSTS 2020 certification required.
• Reliable transportation to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workers and projects.
• Co-ordinate and schedule activities.

• Estimate costs and materials.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies.
• Measure and cut insulating materials to required dimensions using hand and power tools.
• Apply and secure insulation using pasting, strapping, taping and other methods.
• Fit insulation around obstructions and protrusions.
• Install vapor barriers.
• Apply finishing over insulating materials.
• Work to achieve set goals and timelines for project completion.
• Work in a safe manner on client sites and company standards.
• Travel to various sites as required.

Pay: CA$40.00

• Work in a safe manner as per company and per client expectations
• Work independently and as a team member
• Be able to travel to various sites as required
