Job summary

Tetranex Solutions in Alberta is seeking a full-time Intermediate Instrumentation Technologist/Engineer to contribute to accurate, high-quality project deliverables across multiple projects and stages.

You will mentor junior instrumentation staff, support design reviews, and manage instrument datasheets, procurement activities, and field construction support. Some travel to site will be required to support projects and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

2-year Technologist diploma in Industrial Instrumentation or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
5–10 years of instrumentation experience in engineering or EPC environments.
Familiarity with upstream oil and gas processes is an asset.
SmartPlant Instrumentation (InTools) experience is an asset.
Familiarity with instrumentation sizing and selection software; Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

Assist the Instrument Lead in producing accurate, high-quality project deliverables.
Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
Provide guidance to junior instrumentation technologists.
Work as part of an interdisciplinary team and manage instrumentation activities through project stages.
Interpret project specs for instrument selection and design.
Contribute to instrument procurement activities and technical evaluations.
Advance instrumentation deliverables, including valve and meter selections.
Prepare and maintain instrument datasheets and indexes.
Support Design Reviews and incorporate feedback.
Assist with field construction, RFIs, commissioning and start-up activities.
