About Us

McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.

The Role

You will work with a team of tradespeople to proactively maintain equipment helping the site to operate safely and efficiently. As a team member, you make data driven decisions, follow your processes and collaborate with others to make improvements as opportunities are identified.

In this role, you will:

· Work above and below surface and perform predictive and preventative maintenance checks on a regular basis to ensure safe and reliable production

· Install and maintain all measurement and control systems including DCS/PLC, flowmeters, pH transmitters, density gauges, pressure transmitters, level transmitters and online analyzers

· Troubleshoot equipment failures and document repairs

Required:

· Interprovincial red seal or Saskatchewan journeyperson industrial instrumentation certificate

· Minimum three to five years of directly related work experience in an industrial or mine environment

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Work a rotation schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Recommended:

· Familiarity with various instrumentation programming and configuration software

· Experience with FOXBORO DCS’s and/or PLC systems

· Troubleshooting experience would be an asset

· Experience with SAP
