CFI Energy Services is seeking an Instrumentation Journeyperson for a regular shift in Drayton Valley, AB, with possible work in the USA if available. The role requires strong safety awareness, mentored leadership, and hands-on experience with pneumatic and electronic instruments.

Compensation is negotiable and benefits are offered. The ideal candidate holds a Journeyperson Instrumentation certificate, Class 5 driver’s license, and safety tickets (First Aid, H2S, CSO).

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Instrumentation certificate is required.
• Strong people skills are essential for teamwork and mentoring.
• Current safety tickets including First Aid, H2S, CSO are required.
• Hold a current Class 5 Drivers Licence in good standing.
• Excellent verbal and written skills are expected.
• Strong multitasking and time management abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist, support and/or direct larger projects.
• Mentor apprentices and lead by example to create a strong team atmosphere.
• Participate in safety meetings and promote safety culture.
• Maintain and calibrate pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.
• Document and participate in on-site project meetings.
• Provide maintenance site experience and equipment startup checks.

Job description

CFI Energy Services is looking for an Instrumentation Journeyperson for a regular shift in Alberta with the possibility as well as in/out of the USA if available. Shifts are negotiable to fit the candidate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists, supports and/or directs larger projects
• Mentor apprentices and lead by example while creating a team atmosphere
• Participates actively in safety meetings and safety culture
• Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas OH&S guidelines
• Attends, participates and documents in on-site project meetings
• Maintenance Site experience
• Work with a variety of pneumatic and electronic instruments to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level, and composition
• Test accuracy of flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, and other recording, indicating, or controlling instruments.
• Calibrate, repair, maintain and adjust system components and install and maintain instruments on new or existing equipment.
