Job summary

Charles River is seeking an Instrument Specialist for the Safety Assessment team at the Senneville site. You will support equipment and instruments, acting as a resource to the technical group and ensuring compliance with SOPs and GLP requirements.

The role involves setup, configuration and ongoing qualification of instrumentation, with a focus on troubleshooting and maintaining reliable lab systems to support preclinical testing programs.

Qualifications

• College diploma in Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry or any other laboratory sciences discipline.
• At least one year of experience in laboratory sciences.
• Able to take initiative and solve problems autonomously.
• Able to work physically occasionally (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine system maintenance and verification of laboratory instruments in compliance with SOPs, safety procedures and biosafety protocols, and GLP regulations.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of laboratory instruments.
• Participate in the setup, configuration and qualification of instrumentation necessary to implement the tests in the laboratory.
• Understand interactions between different instrument components to target the cause of a problem.
• Create qualification procedures (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new equipment and instruments.
