Job summary

Gestal is seeking a Skills Manager to oversee the planning and scheduling of flight instructors, ensuring training compliance and efficient resource use. The role includes managing online registrations, certificates, and instructor files, and coordinating with the planning department and Head of Flight Training.

You will also support IT tasks related to training tools (MyTeam, MyControlTower) and maintain devices for trainees and instructors, while ensuring regulatory standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective annual planning and scheduling for instructors for their initial, recurrent, upgrading, and standardization training.
• Optimize resource utilization (FSTD, instructors) in liaison with planning department and resource managers.
• Ensure monitoring, updating, and availability of training evidence and documents, including managing instructor files.
• Manage online training registrations (e-learning) and certificate tracking for instructors.
• Issue training certificates via MyTeam if necessary.
• Administer the implementation and tracking of instructor skills (training evidence, tracking forms, skills updates in MyControlTower).
• Ensure compliance of instructor training according to ATO manuals.
• Ensure communication and notifications to authorities.
• Generate and manage weekly/monthly data extractions from MyTeam (sessions, conflicts, skills).
• The Skills Manager reports functionally to the local Head of Flight Training.
• Other duties as an IT support administrator:
• Ensure maintenance of Apple TVs and iPads for trainees and instructors.
• Administer OBDS tools, Dynamic Source, etc.

Job description

In coordination with the local Head of Flight Training, they guarantee the compliance of instructor skills with regard to regulatory and financial constraints, and manage/optimize the entire skills management process, including notably:

• Ensure effective annual planning and scheduling for instructors for their initial, recurrent, upgrading, and standardization training;
• Optimize resource utilization (FSTD, instructors, etc.) in liaison with various stakeholders (planning department, resource managers, Head Instructor, etc.);
• Ensure monitoring, updating, completion, and availability of training evidence and mandatory documents, including the management of instructor files (paper and digital format);
• Manage online training registrations (e-learning) and certificate tracking for instructors;
• Issue training certificates via MyTeam if necessary;
• Administer the implementation and tracking of instructor skills (training evidence, tracking forms, skills updates in MyControlTower, etc.);
• Ensure compliance of instructor training according to ATO manuals;
• Ensure communication and notifications to authorities;
