Job summary

Suncrest College is seeking an Instructor for the Practical Nursing program. The RN must deliver classroom instruction and supervise students in clinical settings to prepare future nurses.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Nursing (Master’s preferred) and relevant teaching/clinical experience, with active registration in Saskatchewan. A TLR certificate and good standing with SHA are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of two years clinical/teaching experience in medical, surgical, and pediatric or obstetrical nursing.
• Eligible for registration (active status) with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan.
• Current TLR Certificate.
• Accreditation requirements of Saskatchewan Polytechnic must be met.
• In good standing with Saskatchewan Health Authority.

The successful Practical Nursing Instructor is primarily responsible for instruction of the Practical Nursing program , and clinical instruction/supervision of students in health care facilities.

Requirements

• The minimum educational qualification for this position is a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related field. A Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of two years recent clinical/teaching experience in the area of medical, surgical and pediatric or obstetrical nursing.
• Must be eligible for registration (active status) with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan.
• Current TLR Certificate.
• Applicants must meet Saskatchewan Polytechnic accreditation requirements.
• Applicants must be in good standing with Saskatchewan Health Authority.
• Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
• Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver’s license
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are required
