Job Summary
The School of Health Studies invites applicants for a one-year Limited Term Faculty appointment in the Practical Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs. The successful applicants will be expected to teach equal to 1 FTE workload, including lectures, lab and clinical. Responsibilities will also include tracking / advising student groups, overseeing student practicum placements, and other areas needed by the department.
Duties of Limited Term faculty fall within Article 18.2 (Teaching Faculty Duties) of the Collective Agreement, specifically the Teaching and Service components.
Qualifications
The successful applicant must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with a BCCNM practicing license. Candidates should have a strong current medical / surgical clinical practice foundation as a Registered Nurse. A Masters degree and experience in classroom and clinical teaching is considered an asset.
