The Faculty of Health at Kwantlen Polytechnic University invites applications for a 22.86% Non-Regular Faculty Position (NR1) for our Graduate Nurse Internationally Educated Re-Entry Program (GNIE).
FACULTY OVERVIEW:
The Graduate Nurse Internationally Educated Re-entry (GNIE) program is a full-time one-year certificate program which prepares internationally educated nurses (IENs) for professional nursing practice and licensure in Canada. The program is designed to prepare IENs to practice within the Canadian healthcare system, renew and enhance previously acquired knowledge and skills, identify and address individual needs, ensure graduates meet the professional practice requirements, and enable effective communication skills with patients and colleagues. Upon graduation, students will be eligible to apply for registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and to write the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).

Note: Clinical placements take place at any of the Lower Mainland hospitals between North Vancouver and Chilliwack. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from clinical experiences.

SALARY INFORMATION:
Placement on the salary scale will be dependent on level of education and relevant teaching experience. Advancement up the pay scale is based on FTE and employment status.
