Job summary

Southeast College in Assiniboia is seeking a Casual EAL Instructor to deliver ESL instruction aligned with the approved curriculum and adult learning principles. The role emphasizes accessible learning for diverse learners and collaboration with staff.

You will develop program outlines, learning objectives, instructional materials, assess student progress, attendance, and achievement, and maintain an inclusive virtual learning environment while supporting employability-focused activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and TESL Saskatchewan Accreditation, or equivalent TESL credentials.
• Minimum of one year experience with adult literacy or EAL programming.
• Knowledge of CLB levels and PBLA frameworks; Avenue LMS training is a plus.
• English as a first language or high-level proficiency in English.
• Ability to facilitate groups with diverse opinions and backgrounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The EAL instructor will:

8. Prepare and submit required reports and documentation accurately and on time

Qualifications:

• - Bachelors degree and TESL Saskatchewan Accreditation, or completion of TESL Canada Professional Certificate Standard One or Completion of TESL 21, 31, 33, 42 or equivalent.


• - A minimum of one year experience working with adult literacy or EAL programming.


• - Knowledge and experience with CLB levels and PBLA, including Avenue LMS training


• - English as a first language or demonstrated high-level proficiency in English


• - Ability to facilitate groups with differing opinions, experience, and backgrounds


• - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
