BCIT’s Teaching and Learning Unit is seeking a temporary, full-time Instructional Development Consultant to support our instructors as they design courses, develop programs, review curricula, and advance teaching practice using a wide range of instructional technologies. BCIT works to provide career-ready education and remains a leading centre for teaching innovation.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Adult Education, Curriculum Development, or Educational Technology; equivalent combination considered.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on instructional design, post-secondary instruction, business/industry training, and curriculum evaluation.
• Recent teaching experience with lesson planning, experiential learning, and rubric-based assessment at the post-secondary level.
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, deliver, assess, and evaluate learner-centered curriculum.
• Knowledge of competency-based curriculum and assessment design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement curriculum projects using a broad range of instructional tools.
• Lead project teams in the development of instructional products and support six BCIT schools.
• Advance teaching practice through technology-enabled methods and educator development.
