Job summary

Wajax is seeking an experienced assembler for crane and utility equipment in Canada. You will assemble new or rebuilt units sold by Wajax, incorporating hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components while adhering to safety standards.

Role targets varying levels A-D with mentorship duties, health & safety training, and collaboration with install teams. High school diploma and Crane Utility Fleet license required; 1-7 years experience depending on level.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with Crane/Utility Fleet license.
• Strong hydraulics knowledge and electrical systems experience.
• Welding/fabrication experience is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble new or rebuilt crane and/or utility equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Oversee and mentor other Installers on the team.
• Install electrical components, hydraulics, and perform tests and troubleshooting.

The Opportunity

Responsible for assembly of new or rebuilt crane and/ or utility equipment

The Role

• Responsibilities will vary depending on level attained (A, B, C or D).


• Responsible for assembly of new or rebuilt crane and or utility equipment sold by Wajax Industries in a safe, efficient and capable manner.


• Is familiar with all crane and utility equipment the company represents and that he is required to assemble.


• Responsible to oversee and works closely with other Installers in a mentorship capacity.


• Is familiar with company policy and procedures and abides by them consistently


• Is responsible for install of all electrical components, wiring, assemble of electrical power boards, throttles and controls, test and trouble shoot


• Perform assembly of all hydraulic systems required for unit, including, PTO and pump installations, plumb entire truck, minor electrical, minor welding and fabrication, test and trouble shoot hydraulics, install sub frame, device, body onto unit.


• Assembly of bolt on items, drilling, basic electrical, basic hydraulics, decaling unit, prepare units for pre-delivery inspections.


• Assemble bolt on parts, prepare parts for install group, shipping and receiving


• Participate in all required Health & Safety Training.


• Comply with the Health & Safety program and practices.


• Performance of daily duties in a manner conducive to a safe workplace

Work Experience

1-2 years (D); 2-3 years (C); 4-5 years (B); 5-7 years (A)

Knowledge

working knowledge of hydraulics; specialized in electrical systems; experience with welding/fabrication

Compensation

Base pay $30-$36 per hour. Pay may vary based on skills, expertise, and performance, and is a component of the total rewards package.
