Schedule: 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, daytime with possibility of telework - Flexible hours possible

This process aims to fill 1 position (83060) for an indefinite duration. Candidates in end-of-term auxiliary roles must include a management attestation email with their application.

OUR OFFER

Within the Housing Service, the Sanitation Division is committed to ensuring the sanitation, proper maintenance, and safety of housing and residential buildings with major issues (molds, pests, clutter, etc.) across Montreal, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Your Mandate

You will perform various tasks related to building inspections to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations concerning the built environment, based on operational needs. Specifically, you will:

  • Primarily enforce the Sanitation, Maintenance, and Safety of Housing Regulation (03-096);
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of multi-unit buildings;
  • Draft non-compliance notices and inspection reports that may lead to issuing infractions, developing action plans, and monitoring corrective work;
  • Collaborate with social intervention liaison officers, professionals from the Housing Service, and external partners.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • College diploma in architecture technology or urban planning and development techniques;
  • 2 years of experience in building inspection or permit issuance;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and permit management applications (GDP) and MapInfo is desirable.
