Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining records of all products shipped and received. Pick and pack goods, develop shipping labels and documents, and ensure that all orders are correctly picked and packed. Verify incoming shipments to ensure accuracy against shipping documents and purchase orders. Make deliveries as needed, which requires operation of a company vehicle.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Provide customer service via telephone and walk-ins; ensure counters are properly stocked. Interact with customers, vendors, and associates to resolve service-related issues.
• Act as a liaison between warehouse and customers; pick and pack goods for shipment and prepare shipping instructions.
• Determine shipment methods and prepare all required documentation to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Receive merchandise, check and sign delivery slips, assist with unloading, and affix barcodes, tags, and security tags. Operate forklifts, hand trucks, or other equipment as needed.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders, record shortages, and reject damaged items.
• Organize the distribution and shipping of merchandise, verify documents, unpack, and route goods to storage areas.
• Maintain internal record-keeping systems; contact transport companies and suppliers to expedite, trace, or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications.
• Conduct inventory, organize storage areas, and ensure security at all times.

Nature and Scope

• Selects appropriate processes based on rules, practices, or instructions. Seeks guidance on non-routine issues from supervisors. Deviations are cleared with supervisors.
• Works under close supervision with limited independent judgment. Work involves detailed checks or review by a senior coworker or supervisor.
• Typically in a comfortable environment but may be exposed to factors causing discomfort or moderate risk, such as temperature extremes, machinery, noise, and fumes.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Able to stand for over 60 minutes and perform repetitive movements like using a calculator, bending, or squatting.

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or GED preferred. 0-2 years of relevant experience.
