Job summary

A global automotive manufacturer in Mississauga is seeking a Licensed Industrial Electrician for a fast-paced, highly automated facility. This hands-on role combines electrical and mechanical maintenance in a JIT production setting with strong opportunities for continuous learning and technical development.

Role: Electrician (442A). Location: Mississauga. Wage: $49-52 per hour. Shift: Straight Days. A comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training support are provided.

Qualifications

• Certification: Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Electrician (442A) or Construction & Maintenance Electrician (309A).
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing or automotive plant.
• Skill Set: Strong balance of electrical diagnostics and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical automotive assembly equipment.
• Support automated assembly lines, robotic cells, and conveyor systems to ensure zero downtime for critical customer shipments.
• Perform mechanical repairs, equipment overhauls, and preventative maintenance alongside electrical duties.
• Diagnose PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), vision systems, sensors, and industrial networks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in a lean, safety-focused automotive environment.
