Stoakley-Stewart Consultants Ltd. in Mississauga is seeking a dynamic Sales Development role focused on new business generation in international trade services. You will identify prospective customers, initiate contact, and qualify opportunities for the broader sales team.
The position emphasizes outbound prospecting, cold calls, and collaboration with internal departments to move prospects through the pipeline. A strong communicator with self-motivation will thrive here.
Our client is an established name in customs brokerage, freight forwarding and international transportation, helping businesses manage the practical and regulatory demands of moving goods across borders.
With several decades in the sector, the organization has developed deep knowledge of international trade, customs requirements and cross-border transportation. Its operations span several countries, giving employees exposure to different markets and a genuinely international business environment.
The company continues to invest in the systems and processes behind its services. Employees work with modern tools while being part of an organization that regularly looks for better ways to manage customer needs, compliance requirements and increasingly complex supply-chain activity.
Training, mentorship and internal advancement are part of the employee experience. For someone who wants to build a longer-term career in logistics or international trade, there is room to broaden their knowledge and take on more responsibility over time.
The organization helps businesses keep international shipments moving, meet regulatory obligations and work through problems that can otherwise cause costly delays. The work is practical, commercially important and closely tied to the day-to‑day movement of goods across borders.
Employees are supported by competitive compensation, performance-based rewards, comprehensive health‑care benefits and wellness programs.
The organization values an inclusive workplace and encourages participation in community initiatives. Different backgrounds and perspectives are respected, and employees are given opportunities to contribute both inside and outside the business.
For someone interested in logistics, international trade and the commercial side of cross‑border business, this is an opportunity to build experience inside an established organization with a broad operating footprint.
*The stated compensation range reflects the full scope of the role as currently structured and is provided in accordance with pay transparency requirements. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates who fully meet all requirements and qualifications outlined in this posting and the official job description.
This position sits at the front end of the sales process.
You will identify prospective customers, make the initial approach, determine whether there is a legitimate business opportunity and help move qualified prospects into the hands of the broader sales team.
A considerable part of the role involves outbound prospecting. That means researching companies, making calls, speaking with decision-makers and getting enough information to understand whether there is a reason to continue the conversation.
There is more to the job than making calls. You will also work with incoming leads, contribute to sales campaigns, gather information for proposals, maintain CRM records and coordinate with colleagues when a prospect requires input from different parts of the organization.
It is a good fit for someone who enjoys finding opportunities, opening doors and doing the follow‑up work required to turn an initial conversation into something commercially worthwhile.
The position is primarily focused on new‑business generation, prospecting and lead qualification, while also supporting the wider business development function.
You should be comfortable initiating conversations with people you do not already know and capable of turning those conversations into useful business information.
Strong follow‑up matters just as much. Prospecting creates plenty of moving pieces, and this role requires someone who can keep track of contacts, commitments and next steps without being closely managed.
University education or equivalent relevant experience is required.
This is a critical role within the organization and, following the recruitment and selection process, the selected candidate should expect to receive an offer promptly.
