Job summary

A leading company in software development is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to grow business relationships and maintain high customer service standards. This entry-level full-time position involves advising customers, managing sales, and supporting the Branch Manager in achieving KPIs. Qualifications

Purpose

Reporting to the Retail Manager, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for growing business relationships with customers and maintaining superior standards of Messer customer service. A key focus of this role is business development within your region and for Messer corporately.

Job Description
  • Advise customers visiting the store and perform related tasks such as order preparation and follow-up.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to internal clients.
  • Implement creative customer service techniques, source products, and maintain satisfactory inventory levels.
  • Communicate effectively with external customers to increase counter sales through upselling.
  • Support the Branch Manager in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), safety goals, and net operating profit targets.
  • Enter invoices into SAP, prepare credit notes, sort documents, file, and process telephone orders.
  • Actively seek new sales opportunities in-store and through outgoing calls.
  • Enhance counter sales and handle telephone inquiries from customers or prospects.
  • Provide backup for deliveries as needed.
  • Receive incoming shipments of hardgoods from vendors and intercompany warehouses.
Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in inside sales or administrative roles, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
