Job summary

Air Liquide Canada is hiring an Inside Sales Representative in Burlington, ON to drive business growth by managing inquiries, processing orders, and providing technical product recommendations. Based primarily in-store, you will build strong customer relationships and support sales expansion while delivering excellent service.

From coordinating quotes to ensuring accurate CRM records, you will collaborate with outside sales and store operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a dedicated customer base with high satisfaction and retention.
• Maintain up-to-date customer records and sales activities in the CRM.
• Collaborate with outside sales and store operations to maximize opportunities.
• Meet and exceed KPIs.
• Occasional backup / hotshot driver for urgent deliveries.
• Safely operate delivery vehicles with a DZ license.
• Ensure prompt delivery or pickup of cylinders, equipment, and freight.

Job Summary: The Inside Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in driving business growth, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring exceptional service. Based primarily in-store, you will manage customer inquiries, process orders, provide technical product recommendations, and proactively support sales expansion. Additionally, to support operational needs during peak demands or urgent requests, this role occasionally serves as a hotshot driver to perform local deliveries as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and contact potential and existing customers via phone and email to present Air Liquide Canada Inc.’s products and services.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions from our extensive product portfolio (industrial gases, welding supplies, and equipment).
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, quotes, and process sales orders accurately across internal systems.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
• Manage and grow a dedicated customer base, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Maintain up-to‑date customer records and sales activities in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with outside sales representatives and store operations to maximize sales opportunities and ensure seamless service.
• Meet and exceed assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Serve as an occasional backup / hotshot driver to handle urgent or ad‑hoc customer deliveries as business needs arise.
• Safely operate delivery vehicles requiring a DZ license in full compliance with transportation and safety regulations.
• Ensure prompt, safe, and courteous delivery or pickup of cylinder gases, equipment, and freight when stepping in for delivery duties.

Required Qualifications

• Valid DZ driver's license with air endorsement, a clean driver's abstract, and a minimum of 2 years of commercial driving/delivery experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a retail, counter sales, or industrial inside sales environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace (G Suite) and general computer systems.
• Ability to physically lift up to 50 lbs on a repetitive/regular basis.
• Excellent customer service focus, strong communication skills, and a strong commitment to promoting a safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of welding processes, industrial tools, and compressed gas products is a strong asset.
• Experience using SAP or a similar ERP/CRM system is an asset.
