Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Inside Sales Executive to join our growing logistics sales team, with a focus on long-haul and cross-border (Canada–U.S.) trucking services. This role is ideal for someone who understands over-the-road transportation, can navigate cross-border regulations, and has a proven track record of generating and closing B2B freight opportunities.

You will be responsible for identifying new shippers, managing the sales cycle from lead to close, and collaborating closely with dispatch and operations to ensure smooth freight execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business by prospecting shippers and freight customers across long-haul and cross-border lanes
  • Qualify leads, understand transportation needs, and offer tailored solutions (dry van, reefer, flatbed, etc.)
  • Manage a sales pipeline using CRM tools and provide regular reporting on activity and results
  • Conduct rate negotiations, present proposals, and close deals with mid- to large-volume clients
  • Work with operations, dispatch, and customs teams to ensure service commitments are met
  • Stay current with cross-border freight regulations, customs procedures, and transit challenges
  • Maintain long-term client relationships and seek opportunities for recurring or contract freight

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in inside sales, business development, or account management within the logistics, freight, or trucking industry
  • Direct experience with cross-border U.S.–Canada shipping strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with customs processes, transit documentation, and freight classifications
  • Solid understanding of long-haul transportation and OTR carrier networks
  • Experience using CRM platforms and TMS (Transportation Management Systems)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and goal-oriented
