Job summary

Our client, a custom cabinetry designer, seeks an Inside Sales and Design Consultant to prepare electronic working plans and technical drawings for kitchen, bathroom and bar projects. The role uses Mozaik to produce design specifications, parts lists and cost information from initial concepts and measurements.

The candidate should have a post-secondary degree in design and at least 3–5 years in product design, with strong analytical, presentation and client-communication skills.

They carefully select only the best of finishes and hardware. They pay extra attention to the smallest of details on every job, big or small!

The Inside Sales and Design Consultant will be responsible for preparing electronic working plans and technical drawings for various cabinet projects from preliminary concepts, sketches, calculations, specification sheets and other data.

Job Duties

• Design detailed electronic working plans, charts and/or scale drawings for various cabinet projects including kitchens, bathroom vanities, bars, etc.
• Produce detailed, final drawings and specifications using dedicated computer software (Mozaik) to produce design specifications, including parts lists and cost information, from hand drawings and measurements provided.
• Assist with the costing of the projects.
• Organize and maintain a design and digital file database for each project
• Meet with clients to assist with the selection of materials, colours and accessories for their cabinetry project.
• Ensure proper documentation of all work, products and relevant activities.
• Answer the telephone and greet walk-in clients and help answer questions.
• Assist with office paperwork and other office tasks as required.

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree in design or a related field required
• Minimum 3-5 years in Product design experience
• Experience using Mozaik considered an asset.
• Proven analytical skills and the ability to identify customer needs and the ability to effectively communicate them required.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong presentation, oratory, and written skills
• Demonstrated ability to finish multiple projects on time and scale
• Computer literate, including effective working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Products
• Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects.
