Job summary

University Health Network (UHN) in Toronto is hiring a Physiotherapist for the Toronto Western Hospital site. The role involves providing physiotherapy within Allied Health and emergency settings, including weekends on rotation.

This permanent part-time position (0.6 FTE) offers full-time hours until March 31, 2027, with a closing date of Nov 6, 2026. Salary ranges from $44.45 to $55.57 per hour, 37.5 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Science (Physiotherapy) or recognized equivalent
• Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Experience in assessment and treatment of critical care, acute surgical and general medicine patients
• Minimum one year related experience
• Oxygen titration and suctioning experience

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient information and collaborates with the interprofessional team
• Conducts initial screening and formal/informal assessments
• Develops a clinical impression and treatment plan
• Communicates results to patient and care team; adjusts treatment plans as needed
• Coordinates education of learners and staff; participates in quality initiatives
• Leads or participates in research studies related to physiotherapy
• Monitors quality indicators and uses outcome measures to assess interventions
