Job summary

Lakeridge Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Child/Adolescent Mental Health unit in Oshawa. This temporary full-time position involves working within a multidisciplinary team to assess and treat pediatric patients with mental health needs.

Responsibilities include crisis management, medication administration, and family support, with emphasis on evidence-based care and thorough documentation. Applicants must be in good standing with CNO and hold BCLS.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Ontario (in good standing).
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient or community mental health experience; Child/Adolescent MH preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments.
• Strong documentation, communication, and group facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient physical and mental health assessments within the Child/Adolescent Inpatient unit.
• Contribute to treatment plan development and deliver interventions including crisis management and education.
• Document care activities and participate in patient care meetings; maintain relevant statistics.
