Job summary

People Store Staffing represents a client in North York hiring a Structural Graphic Designer to join their Design Department. You will work on packaging and container design with cutting and printing technology, developing innovative solutions across substrates.

You will create print specifications, CAD drawings, 3D renderings, and packaging samples; collaborate with Sales, Production and Customer Service to deliver on time and to spec.

Qualifications

• Experience with packaging design and structural CAD workflow.
• Proficiency in ArtiosCAD and SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong collaboration and customer-service skills.
• Willingness to learn new cutting/printing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Creating print specifications, graphic designs, CAD drawings, 3D images and renderings.
• Producing packaging samples for the Sales team.
• Participating in customer visits to evaluate existing packaging and contribute to strategy sessions.
• Coordinating graphic and structural design projects through to production.
• Learning to schedule and operate specialized cutting and printing equipment.
• Maintaining design libraries and managing revisions to existing designs.
• Assisting with the ordering and verification of print tooling and steel-rule dies.
• Participating in incoming inspections to ensure completed work meets established design tolerances.
• Collaborating with Customer Service, Sales and Production to meet customer delivery requirements and support the implementation of new items.
