Job summary

ventureLAB is seeking an Innovation Space Operations Intern to support day-to-day building operations and the member experience at our Markham campus. This hands-on role focuses on standardizing onboarding, space booking workflows, and data management across Salesforce/Skedda/Google Drive, while contributing to the community playbook.

You'll gain exposure to facility administration, CRM audits, and cross-functional collaboration with tenants, partners, and staff in a dynamic not-for-profit

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program in Business, Operations, Property Management, or Hospitality.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Interest in community management, coworking operations, or facility administration.
  • Basic familiarity with spreadsheets, CRM tools, or booking software (Salesforce, Skedda, Google Drive) is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Space Operations & Booking Optimization: Standardize onboarding kits, room allocation workflows in Skedda, and badge issuance protocols.
  • Tenant CRM & Contract Audit: Execute a data audit in Salesforce and Google Drive to update member records, organize active contracts, and improve database accuracy.

Position Profile - Innovation Space Operations Intern, Number of Opportunities: 2

ventureLAB is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Innovation Space Operations Intern to support the day-to-day running of our building and member experience. This is a hands‑on role perfect for someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and interacting with a wide range of people — from property management partners to prospective and current tenants. You will execute a defined project charter focused on optimizing facility workflows, member onboarding frameworks, tenant CRM data management, and community engagement toolkits to build a professional portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Space Operations & Booking Optimization: Standardize Innovation Space onboarding kits, room allocation workflows in Skedda, and badge issuance protocols.
  • Tenant CRM & Contract Audit: Execute a data audit in Salesforce and Google Drive to update member records, organize active contracts, and improve database accuracy.
  • Community Engagement & Facility Playbook: Build standardized tour guidelines, facility notice templates, and operational checklists for space management.

What We're Looking For

Allowance and Work Model
  • To mitigate personal financial impact for those commuting to or working alongside the ventureLAB team in Markham, all participants qualify for a Monthly Travel and Meal Allowance of up to $1,000.00, issued through semi-monthly reimbursements of up to $500.00.
  • Work Model: Onsite (Markham, Ontario), 5 days a week.
