Bayshore HealthCare in Antigonish, NS, is seeking a Specialty Pharma Nurse (LPN/RPN) to deliver and monitor infusion and other pharmacological treatments in patients' homes or clinics. Travel within the service area is required, with about 15 hours or more biweekly.

The role emphasizes patient safety, documentation, and collaboration with the Specialty Nursing Supervisor and Manager. Experience in acute care or with specialty pharmaceuticals is preferred; training will be provided.

Formación

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program with LPN/RPN degree or equivalent.
• Current registration and in good standing with provincial nursing regulatory body.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilidades

• Develops individualized nursing care plans for each patient.
• Conducts health assessments and medication teaching.
• Prepares and administers intravenous or injectable treatments as applicable.
• Documents procedures and reports adverse events to supervisor.
• Provides patient education and health teaching.
• Travels within the service area to deliver home-based care.
