Summary
The Infrastructure Technician is responsible for providing facilities and technical support to the Infrastructure Engineering team for work, projects, and facilities/contractors regarding operations, engineering, maintenance, and small projects for all FGF manufacturing facilities. Reports daily to the Facilities Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide the facilities team with technical and facilities support to the Infrastructure Engineering team regarding property management with contractors and plants.
- Act as a primary on-site contact for contractors/vendors on company premises.
- Oversee and coordinate renovation and construction efforts to ensure project completion; provide daily updates and log activities to the facilities manager.
- Ensure maintenance/service contractors perform services as required while following GMP and food building compliance. Perform regular inspections and audits of the building facilities, and complete facilities repairs and projects.
- Assist technically with facility troubleshooting, evaluate, and implement improvements to mitigate recurring issues in the plants.
- Maintain ownership of documentation, invoices related to facilities, utilities, and services by contractors onsite.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Facilities and/or Engineering credentials or experience, ideally in a plant setting.
- Post-secondary education in mechanical engineering is an asset.
- 3-5 years’ experience in project and facilities engineering preferred.
- General knowledge of engineering disciplines, including mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, refrigeration, sprinklers, life safety systems, site services, and other infrastructure and maintenance systems.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manuals.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is a definite asset.
- Good command of the English language.
- Knowledge of safety practices in construction environments.
- Understanding of GMP, Health & Safety, OH&S, Food Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office).
- A proactive, can-do attitude with eagerness to learn.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Must have a vehicle for travel between sites and off-site locations.
- Effective communication skills with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate with engineering and production teams.
- Ability to recommend continuous improvements to technical solutions.
- Flexibility to work weekends or evenings when required.
