Job summary

Scotiabank’s Global Banking and Markets division seeks an Analyst to support infrastructure and project finance transactions in Canada, the US, Latin America, and the Caribbean. You will work with the team to develop financial models, conduct due diligence, and prepare client presentations while adhering to regulatory requirements.

The role is onsite in Toronto, requiring collaboration across the teams, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple deals with tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Science/Technology, Engineering, Economics, or Math.
• Demonstrated interest in Corporate and Investment Banking through internships or activities.
• Native or bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
• Strong quantitative skills focused on financial analysis and accounting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the transaction process from pitch to execution across Canada and beyond.
• Assist in debt financing origination, structuring, and capital-structure solutions.
• Build and review financial models from scratch or templates.
• Support portfolio management including annual reviews and extensions.
• Conduct industry research and prepare client proposals and materials.
• Assist in due diligence and Information Memorandum preparation.
• Support marketing and deal origination with local teams.
