Job summary

Colas Canada Inc. is leading the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT project, delivering IPD-driven readiness and integration across design, construction, and operations.

We seek an experienced professional to develop the IPD Delivery Plan, coordinate demonstrations, track milestones, and report risks. The role requires a ten-year background in major infrastructure delivery, strong leadership, and field-or-office adaptability in Edmonton's climate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of ten years' experience with railway readiness or major infrastructure delivery.
• Experience managing testing, commissioning or operational demonstrations is required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the IPD Delivery Plan.
• Coordinate all Infrastructure Performance Demonstration activities.
• Monitor program, milestones and readiness.
• Report progress, risks and recovery actions.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, testing and operational interfaces.
• Ensure all disciplines support IPD objectives.
• Resolve delivery conflicts and interface issues.
• Support Construction Completion planning.
• Coordinate IPD evidence and compliance records.
• Verify demonstration requirements have been satisfied.
• Support City submissions and acceptance activities.
• Maintain auditable evidence.
• Liaise with the City, Independent Certifier and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate demonstration activities with Operations and Maintenance.
• Maintain regular liaison with the SESA & IPD Lead / Validation Manager.
• Support executive reporting.
• Improve IPD processes and reporting.
• Capture lessons learned.
• Promote best practices.
• Support continuous improvement across the Right Side of the V.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of ten years' experience with railway readiness or major infrastructure delivery. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Experience managing testing, commissioning or operational demonstrations is required.
• Knowledge of the Project Agreement and Infrastructure Performance Demonstration requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Valid Class 5 license; clean abstract preferred
• Ability to navigate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions
