Job Description

Position : Infrastructure Developer

Duration : Full Time, Perm

Job Responsibilities :

• Develop and deploy systems for hosting Halogen’s Cloud Management System and solutions.
• Integrate with key SaaS infrastructure components and development components.
• Interface with other key Halogen teams pertaining to internal and external solutions.
• Develop in the SaaS Platform team at Halogen using :
• Spring Framework / Java – Code base.
• Big Data Infrastructure – Spark / Hadoop.
• Expanded report base and reporting framework.

Desired Skills and Experience :

We expect that the successful candidate will :

• Have a Degree / diploma in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience developing web-based applications with Java / J2EE.
• Have knowledge of shell scripting (BASH) and Unix operating systems.
• Have demonstrated experience with :
• JBoss and Jetty
• Databases – particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL
• STS / Eclipse or similar IDE
• Ideally have knowledge of JQuery, Spark / Hadoop, and Nagios plugins / deployments
