About the Role

We’re expanding our talented Infrastructure teams and are looking for a Software Developer with cloud networking expertise to join our Foundations team. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain critical infrastructure solutions that empower our R&D teams to build and deliver their products efficiently.

Our systems run globally and scale to handle more than 250 billion events per day with continued exponential growth. Security is what we do and reliability is what we need in order to provide the best possible Security Operations for our customers. We live and breathe Infrastructure-as-Code and are working hard to build world-class internal services & networks.

Location: This role is open to Remote-Canada, Remote-United States, Hybrid-Waterloo, ON, CA, Hybrid-Eden Prairie, MN, USA.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design, develop, and provision cloud networking infrastructure that is reliable, scalable, and secure.

• Build and maintain infrastructure to support customer-facing services with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.

• Develop and deploy software solutions to enhance the security and reliability of the organization.

• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns and frameworks for R&D teams to adopt and extend.

• Triage, debug, and resolve production incidents, while participating in blameless postmortems to identify improvements.

Candidates with an operations (DevOps/SysOps/TechOps) background who have supported networking infrastructure at scale are also encouraged to apply for this role. About the Team

The Foundations team is responsible for building and maintaining large-scale, fault-tolerant, and global infrastructure that powers Arctic Wolf's growth and scalability. Our mission is to ensure that this infrastructure is reliable, accessible, and available to all of R&D—critical to both the success of the business and our ability to deliver exceptional solutions.

Our customers include not only Arctic Wolf’s end customers but also the R&D teams who rely on our systems to develop and deliver features seamlessly.

You will collaborate with the team to build and enhance The Infrastructure Platform—the backbone of Arctic Wolf's infrastructure. This platform encompasses AWS Accounts, cloud networking, and supporting services that enable Arctic Wolf to deliver secure and reliable services at scale. We are committed to building self-service interfaces that empower R&D teams to deploy and innovate efficiently.

Examples of our responsibilities include:

• AWS Account lifecycle management

• Azure administration

• Networking and connectivity at scale

• Infrastructure provisioning and automation (e.g., Atlantis)

• Scaling and maintaining robust infrastructure solutions

About You

• Strong with Infrastructure As Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, or Other)

• Cloud of choice, preference for AWS - VPC, Transit Gateway, Network Firewall, Routing.

• Familiar with Cloud Administration, and architecting fault-tolerant networks.

• Comfortable working with git, GitHub, and common CI/CD approaches.

• Excited to use your expertise and be prescriptive about the right way forward.

• Able to work well alongside infrastructure and product teams.

• Able to work independently and know when to reach out for support.

• Passionate about automation - we do everything-as-code.

Previous security experience is preferred but not required. We provide all the cybersecurity training you need during onboarding and on-the-job training.

• Experience with infrastructure as code driven workflows, such as Terraform GitOps.
