Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related discipline or college program in CS.
• Experience as a computer programmer.
• Certification or vendor training may be required by some employers.
• Professional IT designation such as CISA, CISM, CIA or another IT designation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement and oversee IT systems.
• Collect and analyze data to identify IT infrastructure improvements.
• Review existing IT systems and internal processes.
• Develop and apply SDLC policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle to maximize efficiency, quality and user satisfaction.
• Develop QA procedures and tests for the development and improvement of new and existing systems.
• Identify, analyze and document discrepancies and ensure appropriate adjustments are made.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on computer systems.
